Over the past several years, the university has moved toward a more consistent signage system to guide the development and placement of interior and exterior signs employed in conjunction with campus facilities.
As new buildings have been constructed and others have undergone rennovation, an interior building signage system has been identified. Standards for the creation and installation of such signage are to be found in the Interior Signage Standards.
In December 2001, Sasaki Associates of Watertown, Massachusetts, completed work on a comprehensive wayfinding and exterior signage plan for the university. Standards for construction and installation of signage in accordance with this plan are described in the Wayfinding and Campus Signage Manual.
