In the opening game of last Thursday's doubleheader, Waller pitched a two-hit, complete-game shutout against the Red Hawks. In Lawrence's 4-1 victory, Waller didn't allow an earned run, struck out three, and walked two. In the second game, Waller played second base and went 1-for-2 with a double.
In the opener of last Saturday's doubleheader at Ripon, Waller went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Waller pitched the second game, going seven innings to earn the victory and improve his record to 4-0, 3-0 in the Midwest Conference. Waller allowed one run on seven hits in Lawrence's 4-1 victory. For the week, Waller pitched 14 innings, got two wins, gave up nine hits and just one earned run. Waller's heroics helped Lawrence improve its record to 9-19, 5-7 in the MWC.
