Nenahlo has been superb for the Vikings over the past three games. In a 97-70 loss to NCAA Division II BYU-Hawaii, Nenahlo scored 15 points on 7 of 11 shooting and grabbed a team-high seven rebounds. Two nights later against another Division II school, the University of Hawaii-Hilo, Nenahlo scored a team-high 18 points on 9 of 11 shooting and grabbed six rebounds in a 77-75 loss. Nenahlo capped the stretch of stellar play by scoring 14 points on 6 of 9 shooting and grabbing nine rebounds in a 77-68 win over Beloit College last Saturday.
For the three games, the former Appleton East High School star averaged 15.6 points while shooting 73.3 percent from the floor (22 of 31). The 6-1 guard also averaged 7.3 rebounds per contest over that span. Nenahlo is averaging 12.2 points and 3.9 rebounds per game on the season. He is shooting 67.2 percent from the floor and 92.3 percent from the free-throw line.
Lawrence, which is now 5-4 and 2-1 in the MWC, is back in action at home this weekend. The Vikings take on Monmouth College at 5:30 p.m. Friday and Grinnell College at 1 p.m. Saturday.
