APPLETON, Wis. -- The Lawrence University soccer teams have again won a National Soccer Coaches Association of America Team Academic Award.
Both the men's and women's team won the award for the fifth consecutive year. To win the award, the team had to post a grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the 2008-09 academic year.
The Lawrence women's team had a 3.28 grade point average, and the men's team had a 3.23 grade point average.
This marks the seventh consecutive season the women's team has been honored, and this is the seventh time since 2001 that the men's team has earned the award.
