APPLETON, Wis. -- Lawrence University men's soccer standout Paul Senner scored the first two goals of his career and was named the Midwest Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
Senner (Anchorage, Alaska/West), a junior midfielder, picked up his first career goal in Lawrence's 1-0 victory over the Milwaukee School of Engineering on Sept. 9. Senner's goal in the 72nd minute was the first of his career.
Senner then helped the Vikings salvage a 1-1 double-overtime tie at Beloit College on Sept. 12. With the Vikings trailing 1-0, Senner scored in the 33rd minute to tie the game.
With Senner's help on offense, the Vikings improved to a 1-1-2 on the season.
Lawrence returns to action on Saturday when it hosts Finlandia University in a nonconference game.
