APPLETON, Wis. -- Lawrence University men's tennis star Ryan Dunn broke the school's career wins record and was named the Midwest Conference Player of the Week.
Dunn (Fond du Lac, Wis./Fond du Lac) won his No. 1 singles match at UW-Oshkosh this past Saturday to become Lawrence's career wins leader. Dunn beat Oshkosh's James Lewison 6-3, 6-2, to notch career victory No. 46, passing Tobin Laursen, who amassed 45 wins between 1992-95. Dunn, a senior, has a career record of 46-10 for a cool .821 winning percentage.
Dunn also teamed with his brother, Jason, to beat Lewison and Robbie Price 8-4 at No. 1 doubles. Dunn improved to 9-1 in both singles and doubles on the season.
This is the second time this season and the third time in his career Dunn has been chosen as the MWC Player of the Week.
Lawrence, which has a 6-4 record, returns to action next week when it takes its spring break trip to Florida.
