APPLETON, Wis. -- Lawrence University standout Marc Howe has been named to the All-Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association team for the second time in three seasons, and seven Vikings have been chosen for the all-academic team.
Howe (Cedarburg, Wis./Canterbury School), a senior forward, scored a school season record 19 goals and added 13 assists for 32 points. Howe also was chosen for the all-conference team in 2008 and named to the all-freshman team in 2006.
In 20 conference games, Howe finished with 13 goals and 10 assists for 23 points.
Howe finished his career with school records for goals (65) and points (116). He also ranks fifth with 51 career assists.
Senior forward Jon Sacks (Cherry Hill, N.J./Choate Rosemary Hall) led Lawrence's selections to the academic all-conference team. Sacks earned the maximum of three academic all-conference picks. Senior forward Billy Siers (Mount Prospect, Ill./Avon Old Farms School) was selected for the second time.
Chosen for the first time were junior forward Jacob Esch (Madison, Wis./West), sophomore defenseman Jesse Byam-Katzman (Brooklyn, N.Y./NYC Lab School), sophomore forward Ben DiMarco (Galveston, Texas/Ball), sophomore forward Matt Hughes (Goodrich, Mich./Goodrich) and sophomore forward Sam Johnson (Portland, Maine/Cheverus).
Lawrence reached the semifinals of the MCHA Harris Cup playoffs and finished with a 10-16-2 overall record.
