APPLETON, Wis. -- Lawrence University standout Nick Jennette has been named the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association Player of the Week.
Jennette, a senior forward from Grand Rapids, Mich., earned the honor after Lawrence split a weekend series with Finlandia to finish second in the regular season standings. Jennette, who starred for the Lansing Pride before coming to Lawrence, picked up two goals and an assist on the weekend.
Jennette scored an unassisted goal in last Friday's 3-2 loss to Finlandia and then picked up a goal and an assist in the Vikings' 2-1 victory on Saturday. Jennette finished plus-two for the weekend.
Jennette, who won Player of the Week honors back in November, leads the team with 23 points and 12 assists and is second on the squad with 11 goals.
Lawrence returns to action this weekend when it hosts Concordia (Wis.) University in a two-game MCHA Playoff series.
