APPLETON, Wis. -- Lawrence University kicker Bryan Althouse was named the Midwest Conference Special Teams Player of the Week after a record-setting performance.
Althouse kicked a school-record four field goals and connected on all five of his extra-point attempts in Lawrence's 47-7 win over Illinois College. The Madison native and former standout at Madison West High School made field goals of 37, 32, 27, and 21 yards.
Althouse broke the record of three field goals in a game held by Kraig Krueger, Jeff Reitz, and Gary Hietpas. The four field goals were the most by a Midwest Conference kicker in a game this season.
Althouse finished the season 6 of 8 on field goals and the 37-yarder was the longest of his career. He was fourth on the team in scoring with 40 points.
Lawrence finished the season with a 4-5 record and won its last three games.
