APPLETON, Wis. -- Lawrence University track standouts James Hahn and Tatiana Bulat has been chosen as the Midwest Conference Field Performers of the Week.
Hahn, a senior from Madison, won two events and placed in two more at the Wisconsin Private College Championships this past Saturday.
A former standout at James Madison Memorial High School, Hahn won the triple jump with a leap of 42 feet, 0.75 inches. He also won the 400-meter hurdles in 58.79 seconds. Hahn also took fourth in the 110 hurdles in 17.22 seconds and ran on Lawrence's seventh-place 1,600 relay team.
Bulat, a freshman from Madison, placed in five events at the Private College Championships. Bulat, who starred at Madison West High School, had a second-place finish in the triple jump with a leap of 34-10.5 She also grabbed seventh in the long jump with a distance of 15-1.25.
Bulat, who won the conference's weekly honor for the second time this season, raced to fourth in the 400 hurdles in 1:12.90 and took sixth in the 100 hurdles in 18.07 seconds. She also ran a leg on Lawrence's fourth-place 1,600 relay team.
The Vikings return to action on Friday when they compete at the University of Wisconsin Twilight Meet.
