Pair of wins nets Isaac Defensive Player of the Week award

APPLETON, Wis. -- Lawrence University standout Andrew Isaac has been named the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association Defensive Player of the Week.

Isaac, a junior goaltender from Mississauga, Ontario, won the award after posting a pair of wins in Lawrence's sweep of Northland College.

In Sunday's 2-1 victory over the Lumberjacks, the former standout at St. Michael's College School stopped 22 of 23 shots. He then made 19 saves on 21 shots in Lawrence's 3-2 win over Northland on Monday. On the weekend, he posted a 1.50 goals against average and .932 save percentage.

Isaac improved to 3-5-2 on the season with a 3.55 goals against average and .898 save percentage.

The Vikings return to action this weekend when they travel to the University of Minnesota-Crookston for games on Friday and Saturday.
