APPLETON, Wis. -- Four Lawrence University women's soccer players have
been named to the All-Midwest Conference team, as selected by league coaches.
Greta Raaen and Candice Gangl were named to the first team, and Emily Cain and
Jaime Nodarse made the second team.
Raaen, a senior forward from Byron, Minn., led the team with 14 goals and five
assists for 33 points. Raaen, who also earned all-conference honors as a sophomore,
had 11 goals and four assists in conference play. Raaen, who starred at Byron
High School, picked up her first career hat trick in a 6-1 win over Beloit College.
Gangl, a freshman goalkeeper from Lakeville, Minn., played every minute in net
for the Vikings this season. She had a 6-10 record, with a 1.94 goals against
average and a .806 save percentage. During the conference season, the former
Lakeville High School standout was 5-4 with a 1.44 goals against average and
a .814 save percentage.
Nodarse, a senior defender from Davenport, Iowa, was the heart of the Lawrence
defense. The former Davenport North High School standout finished with three
assists on the season, including two in conference play.
Cain, a junior defender from Salem, Ore., compiled all her points in conference
play with one goal and three assists. Cain was a prep standout at Sprague High
School
Lawrence finished the season with a 6-10 overall record and was fifth in the
Midwest Conference with a 5-4 mark.
