APPLETON, Wis. -- Lawrence University’s Chris Sarasin was chosen as the
Midwest Conference Swimmer of the Week following a standout performance this
past Saturday.
Sarasin, a senior from Marquette, Mich., won three events and swam on a winning
relay at the College of St. Catherine Invitational. The former standout at Marquette
High School won the 200-yard individual medley in 2:06.75 and took the 400 individual
medley in 4:37.06. He also captured the 1,650 freestyle in 18:08.10.
Sarasin swam on the winning 400 freestyle relay team, which posted a time of
3:22.35. He also swam on the second-place 200 freestyle relay team.
Led by his effort, Lawrence took second place in the team standings.
The Vikings are back in action Saturday as they host the Wisconsin Private College
Championships at Boldt Natatorium. Swimming begins at noon.
