APPLETON, Wis. -- Lawrence University's Meggin Brittain has been chosen as the Midwest Conference Swimmer of the Week.
Brittain, a freshman from Green Bay, earned the honor after leading the Viking women's swim team at Lawrence's Gene Davis Invitational this past weekend. The former Bay Port High School standout took third place in the 200-yard backstroke in 2:16.84 and grabbed third in the 200 individual medley in 2:20.00.
Led by Brittain's efforts, the Lawrence women placed fifth in the team standings against an elite field of teams from around the Midwest.
