APPLETON, Wis. -- Lawrence University women's soccer players Emily Buzicky and Katey Hoyme were named to the All-Midwest Conference team, as selected by league coaches.
Buzicky, a junior forward from St. Paul, Minn., and Hoyme, a senior defender from Palos Park, Ill., were both chosen for the second team.
A former standout at Highland Park High School, Buzicky led the Vikings in scoring with 11 goals and 24 points. She was honored earlier this season as the conference Offensive Player of the Week after posting her second career hat trick in a 4-0 rout of Knox College.
Hoyme, a former star at Amos Alonzo Stagg High School, was the rock of Lawrence defense. She earned all-conference honors for the second consecutive season after being tabbed for the first team in 2002.
