APPLETON, Wis. -- Lawrence University cross country standout Courtney Miller was chosen as the Midwest Conference womenıs Performer of the Week.
Miller ran to victory at the Lawrence University Invitational this past Saturday. A senior from Reston, Va., she ran the hilly 5-kilometer course at Plamann Park in 20 minutes, 15.78 seconds. Paced by her win, Lawrence won the team title with 25 points, as Jess Moser took third, Colleen Detjens was fourth, Rachel Lucas was fifth, and Jamie Marincic was 12th.
Miller leads the Vikings into action this weekend at the Midwest Conference Championships at Lake Forest College. She has the third-best time in the conference this season at the 5-kilometer distance and is a dark horse to win the league title.
