APPLETON, Wis. -- Lawrence University standout Michelle Milne was chosen as the Midwest Conference Track Performer of the Week.
Milne, a native of Albuquerque, N.M., captured the honor after winning a pair of events at the Ripon College Invitational this past Saturday. The former Sandia Prep star won the 100-meter hurdles in 16.08 seconds and was first in the 400 hurdles in 1:13.08. Those are her fastest times of the season in both events. Led by Milne, Lawrence took fourth place among the ten teams.
The Vikings are back in action Saturday at the Wisconsin Private College Championships at Carthage College.
Founded in 1847, Lawrence University has produced seven Rhodes Scholars and was again named one of the country's best national liberal arts colleges by U.S. News and World Report in its 2003-04 Guide to American Colleges.
