APPLETON, Wis. -- Lawrence University goaltender Andrew Isaac was selected as the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association Defensive Player of the Week.
Isaac, a freshman from Mississauga, Ontario, earned the honor after going 1-0-1 in a series at Northland College this past weekend.
Isaac made 41 saves in Lawrence's 5-3 win over the Lumberjacks last Friday. He followed that up with 31 saves in a 5-5 tie with Northland on Saturday. Isaac, who improved to 3-8-1 on the season, had a .904 save percentage on the weekend.
Lawrence is back in action at home Friday and Saturday when the Vikings welcome the University of Minnesota-Crookston for a MCHA two-game series at the Appleton Family Ice Center.
