APPLETON, WIS. - Six Lawrence University football players were selected for the All-Midwest Conference team, as chosen by the league's coaches.

Sophomore Zach Michael and junior Chris McGinley made the second-team offense, and senior Scott Dummert and sophomore Jacques Hacquebord are on the second-team defense. Senior J.C. Radliff and junior Nate Keller both received honorable mention.

Michael, a wide receiver from Appleton, enjoyed a record-setting season after receiving honorable mention on the team as a freshman. He caught 77 passes for 1,207 yards and 11 touchdowns. The former Appleton East High School star also broke the school records for catches and receiving yards in a game when he caught 15 passes for 279 yards at Monmouth College.

McGinley, a tight end from Mount Horeb, earned all-conference honors for the first time despite having an injury-plagued season. The former star at Mount Horeb High School was second on the team with 27 catches for 319 yards and six touchdowns.

Dummert, an inside linebacker from Brookfield, was named to the all-conference team for the third time. Dummert, who was also a second-team selection last season, led the Vikings with 103 tackles and tied for tops on the squad with 13 tackles for loss. A standout at Brookfield East High School, Dummert also had four interceptions and three passes defensed.

A star running back and defensive back at Waunakee High School, this was Hacquebord's first season of playing defense in college. He finished with six interceptions in eight games, tying him for ninth place in the nation at 0.8 interceptions per game. Hacquebord was third on the team with 62 tackles, had five passes defensed, and two fumble recoveries, including one he returned for a touchdown.

Radliff, a fullback from Waukesha, was honored on the all-conference team for the first time. The former Mukwonago High School standout ran 82 times for 230 yards and one touchdown. Keller, a strong safety from Manawa, had another outstanding season after receiving honorable mention in 2000. Keller was second on the team with 79 tackles, and he recorded four tackles for loss.
