A senior catcher from Minnetrista, Minn., Peglow led the Vikings to a 3-1 record during the past week. The Vikings split a doubleheader with St. Norbert College and swept a twin bill from Beloit College.
Peglow batted .462 (6-for-13) with a pair of doubles and four runs batted in. The former standout at Mound-Westonka High School drove in the only run in a 1-0 win over St. Norbert College last Wednesday. She also threw out St. Norbert speedster Kristin Janssen, only the second time she has been caught stealing in 13 attempts this season.
In the opening game of the doubleheader with Beloit last Saturday, Peglow went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBIs in Lawrence's 12-2 victory. In the nightcap, Peglow was 2-for-4 with a RBI, as the Vikings beat the Buccaneers 10-2.
The victories improved Lawrence's record to 19-14, 8-3 in the Midwest Conference. The Vikings need a sweep at home today against Carroll College to earn the right to host the MWC Tournament this weekend.
