Hurley, who was named MWC Swimmer of the Year last season, won two events and took second in another at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Triangular on Saturday.
The senior from St. Phillip's, Newfoundland, won the 200-yard freestyle in 1 minute, 47.40 seconds, the best time in the conference this season. He also swam to victory in the 500 freestyle in 5:02.08. That time was second in the league this season, trailing only his own time of 4:57.29. Hurley also took second in the 100 backstroke in 59.32 seconds.
The Vikings are back in action this weekend at the UW-Stevens Point Invitational. Lawrence will host the Midwest Conference Championships Feb. 15-17.
