Naples' Simon Elected to Lawrence University Board of Trustees
APPLETON, WIS. -- Steven Simon, president of Simon Ventures, a Naples, Fla.-based investment company specializing in metal fabrication and electronic distribution, has been elected to a three-year term of the Lawrence University Board of Trustees.
Simon, a 1968 graduate of Lawrence with a bachelor of arts degree in history, served as president of American Sharecom. Inc., a long-distance phone company, before founding Simon Ventures in 1995.
In addition to his degree from Lawrence, Simon earned a master of business administration degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1971. He also currently serves on the boards of the University of St. Thomas University Law School in St. Paul, Minn., and the PACER Center, an advocacy organization of parents of children and young adults with disabilities based in Minneapolis.
