2005 Workshop

This year's workshop activities included the synthesis and characterization of nickel nanowires and an investigation of how molecular structure and chirality relate to the odor of a particular substance. These pictures capture students and faculty working through the two experiments including the use of the GC-Mass spectrometer and the scanning electron microscope (SEM). The SEM was used to image the nickel nanowires.
