Lawrence University's Björklunden will host it's final spring student concert Sunday, May 20, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. Members of the Lawrence University viola studio will perform works for solo viola, viola and piano, and works for multiple violas as LOVE; Lawrence's Own Viola Ensemble! Join Professor Matthew Michelic and our guest artist Frank Babbitt of the Chicago Lyric Opera Orchestra for this concert following a weekend of rehearsals and classes focused on all things viola. This free concert is sponsored by the Boynton Society and will be held in the serene surroundings of Björklunden's Vail Hall.

We are also celebrating our new Wind Turbine that day. The dedication ceremony will be held in Vail Hall right before the concert – at 1:00 p.m. Please plan on joining us for the festivities. And if you can’t make it by 1:00 p.m., don’t worry. We’ll be seating those who would like to attend the concert only just prior to 1:30 p.m. Entrance to the Björklunden lodge is located on Highway 57, south of Baileys Harbor, across from Anschutz Plumbing.

We hope you can make it at 1:00 p.m. to help us celebrate!
