JoAnn Stamm
Assistant Stockroom Supervisor

JoAnn joined the department in 1997 with funding from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute to expand project-based learning in the biology curriculum.  She has provided support for research projects in introductory biology, aquatic and terrestrial field ecology, and comparative physiology, for example.  She assists in all aspects of laboratory preparation, trains students to use equipment, and is a creative problem-solver, whether she’s sewing nets for catching bats or helping a student trouble-shoot a research protocol.  In her spare time JoAnn enjoys outdoor sports, sewing, furniture refinishing, and traveling with her family.
