Biology Faculty and Staff
William Perreault
Trained as a geneticist and cytogeneticist, I’ve watched first-hand the genomic revolution from the early days of arguments concerning the number of chromosomes in various species to arguments about the definition of, and number of, genes in various species. Over the years, I’ve introduced new technologies to Lawrence biology courses, ranging from the use of restriction enzymes to the use of advanced electron microscopy to visualize the internal structure of tissues and cells as well as for high resolution imaging of interesting and beautiful biological structures.
