Any card must be 10/100/1000-Base-T compatible and have an RJ-45 ethernet jack. If you have questions about whether the card you have is acceptable, please contact the HelpDesk.
If your computer currently does not have a network card, the specific adapter that you may need varies according to the type of expansion slot(s) your computer can support. Be sure that you know whether an expansion slot is available. You do not need a modem on campus to access the campus network from your student room.
