Access Your Lawrence University E-Mail

ITS fully supports Outlook Web Access, Lawrence University's webmail or web-based e-mail client, for students. Webmail allows users to access their e-mail from any computer (on or off-campus) with an active Internet connection and a functioning web browser. To access Webmail:

    1. Open a web browser such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari, and go to: http://webmail.lawrence.edu
    2. Enter your username and network password.

If you would prefer to redirect your Lawrence e-mail to another e-mail account (such as G-Mail), view e-mail redirection instructions. Please note, however, that this option will NOT allow you to see or reply to recipients of a received e-mail message other than yourself. This is one reason why ITS specifically recommends webmail.

Change Your Password

Your network password is also used to log on to e-mail. This password may be changed as often as you like by going to https://viking.lawrence.edu/ and choosing "Manage your network account." By default, you will be required to change your password once every year. See Password Protocol.

Disk Quota

Every account, whether faculty, student, or staff, is allotted a finite amount of file storage space on the mailhub server. The initial quota is sufficient generally to meet the demands of most users. Due to the nature of their projects, work requirements, or research, some users may exhaust their disk quota allocation. In these instances, the user may request an increase in quota by contacting the HelpDesk. Before requesting additional space, please reference Managing your LU E-mail Account.
