1998: The saxophone studio hosts composer David Maslanka and the Transcontinental Saxophone Quartet for a concert of world premiere performances: Song Book for alto saxophone and marimba (composed for and performed by Steven Jordheim and Dane Richeson); and Mountain Roads for saxophone quartet (composed for and performed by the Transcontinental Saxophone Quartet); Yiannis Miralis (LU ’94) performs as baritone saxophonist with the Transcontinental Saxophone Quartet.
