Fred "Prof" Schroeder, Director of Bands at Lawrence 1951-78 was a guiding light for several hundred Lawrence students.. Many of these alums are leading educators and performers throughout the country. In October 1998 more than one hundred former students returned to Lawrence to honor their mentor.
