Kyung Kim

Collaborative Pianist and Coach

A winner of numerous awards in her native Korea and the U.S., Dr. Kyung Kim has appeared as concerto soloist, recitalist, and chamber musician throughout the U.S., Canada, China, Korea, Austria, and Hungary, also appearing at the Niagara, Heifetz, Bartok, and Salzburg Mozarteum summer music festivals. Recent performances have included Chicago WFMT Radio’s Live from WFMT, Wisconsin Public Radio’s Live from the Chazen, and concerto appearances with major Korean symphonies, the Milwaukee Festival City Symphony and the University of Wisconsin-Madison Symphony.

Dr. Kim earned her Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and is also a graduate of Seoul National University in Korea.

Her students have received numerous awards in regional and national competitions, and Dr. Kim is in demand as an adjudicator and workshop clinician. She has also served on the piano faculty of Beloit and Ripon Colleges in Wisconsin, and chamber music coach at the Green Lake Summer Music Festival.
