Course Description
Taking a theoretical approach, this course asks how models of decisionmaking, game theory, and political science can help us better understand contemporary foreign policymaking. Discussion topics include war and security, terrorism, nuclear proliferation, international law, environmental treaties, humanitarian intervention, international trade, global health, and intellectual property rights. The goal is for participants to develop the tools to become a well-informed, intelligent analyst of U.S. foreign policy, with a solid grasp of the politics that go on behind the scenes of stories on evening news.
