Private College Championships at Milwaukee School of Engineering (January 22, 2005)

Lawrence finished sixth among the nine teams wth 34.5 points. North Central won the title with 103 points. The top finisher for the Viking was John Budi, who went 1-1 and took second at 165 pounds. David Quinland was 2-1 and took third at 125, and Ben Dictus was 2-2 and placed fourth at 184.

North Central College Invitational (January 14-15, 2005)

Lawrence finished eighth in the 17-team meet with 52 points. Coe won the title with 176 points.

Leading the way for Lawrence was 184-pounder Ben Dictus, who placed third. Dictus, who had a 5-1 record on the day, beat second-ranked Matt Sassolino of Elmhurst 1-0 in the third-place match. John Budi took fourth at 165 with a 4-2 record. Budi advanced to the third-place match with a 4-2 win over Mike Andrews of Olivet, but lost to the University of Chicago's Mike Bishoff 9-4.

Ryan Dumman, who was 4-2, placed seventh at 149 with an 8-5 win over MacMurray's Andrew Plata in the seventh-place match. David Quinlan was 2-2 on the day and took seventh at 125 with a 5-4 win over teammate James Williamson in the seventh-place match.

Milwaukee School of Engineering Invitational (December 4, 2004)

The Vikings won two titles and finished fourth among the eight teams. David Quinlan and John Budi both went 3-0 to win their weight classes.

Quinlan, wrestling at 125, started his day with a 10-1 victory over Chad Labucki of MSOE. He then defeated Luis Ortiz of UW-Whitewater 8-4 and beat Owen Putman of MSOE 8-6 in the title match. Budi, wrestling at 165, started with an 11-0 victory over Olivet's Jesse Grenillo. He then shut out Andrew Batt of Knox 7-0 and won the title with a 5-3 victory over Mike Andrews of Olivet.

The Vikings won a pair of titles at the meet in which no team scores were kept. John Budi went 4-0 to win the title at 165 pounds and Ben Dictus was 2-0 and took the title at 184. In a round-robin format at 165, Budi capped his day with a pin in 1:22 of Coe's Wyatt Yates. Dictus won the title with a 4-3 victory over Cornell's John Ugaste.
