NCAA Division III Championships in Dubuque, Iowa (March 5-6, 2004)
Lawrence's two wrestlers were eliminated on the first day of competition. Nick Morphew, wrestling at 133, lost to Brian Boland of Ursinus 5-4 in his opening match. Dan Jacobs of Williams then pinned Morphew in 3:39 in a consolation match. Ben Dictus, wrestling at 184, opened with a 4-3 win over Mike Troutman of Ursinus. Top seed Denny Gaul of Montclair State then beat Dictus 16-0 in the quarterfinals. Cortland State's Ben Locke eliminated Dictus with a 3-2 victory in the consolation bracket.

Private College Championships at Concordia University of Wisconsin (January 24, 2004)
Nick Morphew and Ben Dictus both won championships for Lawrence, which finished third in the team standings with 55.5 points. Morphew went 4-0 on the day at 133 pounds and beat Brian Taylor of North Central 10-4 for the championship. Dictus was 2-0 and beat Joe Krugler of Millikin 7-6 for the title at 184.

Citrus Open at Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (December 29, 2003)
Lawrence finished ninth among the 15 teams, and Nick Morphew won the title at 133 pounds.
Morphew went 3-0 on the day, defeating Tim Lennox of John Carroll 6-3 in the championship match. He started his day with a 9-1 victory over Paul Compton of Heidelberg in the quarterfinals and then defeated Quentin Christensen of Simpson 7-5 in the semifinals. Ric Scannell grabbed second place at 157. Scannell began with a 10-4 win over Ian Coyne of Rhode Island College in the second round and then defeated Russ Tischer of Case Western 7-4 in the quarterfinals. After defeating Chase Weller of Simpson 5-4 in the semifinals, Scott Roesch of Ursinus edged Scannell 5-2 in the title match. John Budi took fifth at 165 with a 5-1 record. After dropping the opening match, Budi came back to win five straight matches for fifth place. Ben Dictus took sixth place after being forced into a medical forfeit in the fifth-place match. He finished with a 3-3 record on the day.

University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Pointer Open (November 8, 2003)
Three Lawrence wrestlers placed in their respective weight classes in the highly competitive Gold Division of the tournament.
Ric Scannell took second at 157 pounds and posted a 3-1 record on the day. Rick Lamas of Elmhurst College beat Scannell 2-1 for the championship. Ben Dictus grabbed fourth place at 184 and was 3-2 on the day. After falling in the first round, Dictus posted three consecutive wins to reach the third-place match but was beaten 9-5 by Rory Herring of UW-Parkside. Ken Hamm took third place at heavyweight and was 2-1 on the day. Hamm was beaten in the semifinals but then posted two straight wins, including a 3-0 victory over Jason Julian of Minnesota State-Mankato in the third-place match.
