APPLETON, Wis. -- Denise Heuser scored 14 points and Jamie Kuhl added 12 to lead the St. Norbert College women's basketball team to a 68-34 Midwest Conference win over Lawrence University on Saturday at Schuldes Sports Center.
Annie Kaiser paced Lawrence (2-18, 0-14 MWC) with eight points, and Cathy Kaye and Katie Van Es had seven points apiece.
St. Norbert (18-3, 13-2) limited Lawrence to only 23.4 percent (11-47) shooting from the floor. The Vikings hit on only 1 of 4 shots from 3-point range.
Lawrence got off to a slow start and scored only two points in the first 6:50. St. Norbert went on to lead 27-14 at the half.
The Green Knights really started to pull away midway through the second half. St. Norbert went on a 13-0 run to lead 49-21 with 11:04 left in the game. The Green Knights would lead by as many as 36 points.
Lawrence returns to action Monday when it travels to Silver Lake College for a nonconference game.
