APPLETON, Wis. -- The 12th-ranked UW-Stevens Point women's basketball team rolled to an 80-39 nonconference win over Lawrence University on Monday night.
Erin Henzi scored a game-high 16 points to pace Lawrence (0-9). Britta Petersen, Cristin Coles, and Myranda Hodgson scored 12 points apiece to lead UW-Stevens Point (11-1).
The Pointers took command of the game early. After Henzi's 3-pointer cut Stevens Point's lead to 9-7, the Pointers went on a 14-1 run to grab a 23-8 advantage.
Lawrence scored the next four points to cut the lead to 23-12 with 8:05 left in the first half. Stevens Point held Lawrence to only three points the rest of the half while scoring 20 points to lead 43-15 at the break.
Stevens Point started the second half on a 12-2 run and went on to lead by as many as 43 points.
The Pointers forced 28 Lawrence turnovers, and Katie Webber posted a game-high six steals for Stevens Point.
Lawrence returns to action on Wednesday when it hosts Carroll University.
