LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- The Lake Forest College women's basketball team doubled its lead in the first seven minutes of the second half and rolled to a 66-39 Midwest Conference victory over Lawrence University on Saturday.
The Foresters (7-6, 4-2 MWC) moved from a 10-point lead at the half to a 47-26 lead at the 13:38 mark by opening the second half on a 17-6 run. Lake Forest would lead by as many as 31 points in the contest.
Erin Henzi paced Lawrence (0-13, 0-6) with 15 points. She was the only Lawrence player to score in double figures.
Clare Schmidt and Lisa Nassin led Lake Forest with 12 points apiece.
Lake Forest won despite hitting only 1 of 10 shots from beyond the 3-point line. The Forester did their damage inside, outrebounding Lawrence 52-32.
Lawrence returns to action on Friday when it hosts Grinnell College.
