SAN DIEGO, Calif. -- Point Loma Nazarene University opened the game by scoring the first 18 points, and the Sea Lions never looked back in a 97-46 victory over the Lawrence University women's basketball team on Tuesday night.
Point Loma Nazarene, ranked 10th in NAIA Division I, hit the 50-point mark with three minutes left in the first half and led 57-10 at the half.
Caresse Reiland led Lawrence (3-6) with 10 points. Angela Manjarrez paced four Point Loma Nazarene (6-1) players in double figures with 18 points.
Lawrence, playing without injured starters Jenny Stoner and Kelly Mulcahy, trailed by as many as 60 points in the second half.
The Vikings return to action on Jan. 12 when they host Ripon College in a Midwest Conference game.
