The banquet itself was held at the
prestigious Radisson Paper Valley Hotel and was attended by coaches,
swimmers and parents. The awards and award-winners highlighted here were
voted on by their teammates. Besides these awards, I presented the Coach’s
Award of Merit, chosen by me, to the two athletes who best display the
outstanding traits that make our team a success. I also presented an
Honorary Coach’s Award of Merit to a non-athlete supporter who graciously
gave of their time, resources and efforts to help us succeed. This years'
honorary was awarded to James J. Hustace, for his Hawaiian treats and
donation in the name of the swim team. Mr Hustace is the father of James E.
Hustace, freshman swimmer for the Vikings. Also awarded at the banquet
were the traditional “silly” awards voted on by the swimmer and presented to
the winners by the captains, awards such as, Most Likely to Coach, Best
Couple, Best Deck Wardrobe and Most Likely Not to get Back in the Water were
presented.

Garnering Most Dedicated swimmer awards for the second
straight year were Chris Sarasin (left) and Caitlin Monnens (middle)
