Swimming and Diving

One of the Vikings' four coed varsity programs, the men's and women's swimming and diving teams practice and compete with each other. The season schedule, which runs from late October through the middle of March, features a combination of dual meets and large invitational meets. Lawrence also hosts the Midwest Conference Championships biennally.

Vatch, Brengel capture Swimmer of the Year awards at MWC Championships

Hayley Vatch (pictured, top) broke five records on her way to winning three titles and Peter Brengel (pictured, bottom) broke a record and won three titles to lead the Lawrence swimmers at the MWC Championships. Vatch won the 500-yard freestyle, the 200 freestyle, and the 1,650 freestyle. Brengel took home firsts in the 100 and 200 backstroke and the 100 freestyle.
