CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- The Coe College men's basketball team took its first lead of the game with just under five minutes remaining and hung on for a 61-56 nonconference victory over Lawrence University on Sunday.

It was a close second half but the Kohawks didn't take their first lead of the game until a pair of Tatman free throws with 4:57 remaining. Coe later led by four at 59-55 after a Tatman jumper with 1:55 left.
Jamie DeMatthew hit 1 of 2 free throws to cut the margin to 59-56 with 54 seconds left, and Tatman missed a jumper on the other end. Dekker then missed a 3-pointer that would have tied it with eight seconds left, and Borngraebner grabbed the rebound.
Borngraebner was fouled and hit both free throws with four seconds left to seal the victory.
Lawrence enjoyed good shooting in the first half, hitting on 13 of 25 shots from the floor (52 percent). The Vikings led by as many as 11 points in the first half and were up 34-27 at the break.
