APPLETON, Wis. -- Ryan Kroeger poured in 30 points to lead the hot-shooting Lawrence University men's basketball team to a 95-70 Midwest Conference win over Monmouth College on Saturday.
The Vikings (10-5, 6-2 MWC) shot 59.3 percent (32-54) from the floor for the game, including 52.2 percent (12-23) on 3-pointers. Kroeger was 11 of 16 from the floor, including 4 of 7 from 3-point range.
Chris Page picked up a double-double for the Vikings with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Zach Ott paced Monmouth (5-10, 2-6) with 20 points, and David Milroy added 10.
Monmouth hung with the Vikings throughout most of the first half, but Lawrence went on a 10-4 run over the final 2:55 to grab a 43-33 lead at the half. Kroeger and Page scored five points apiece in that stretch.
The Vikings were up 51-41 early in the second half when they started to pull away. Kroeger scored eight points and Page added four as Lawrence went on a 15-4 run to take a 66-45 lead with 10:52 remaining.
Monmouth would get no closer than 17 points the rest of the way, and Lawrence would lead by as many as 30 points in the final minutes.
It was another dominating performance by the Vikings against Monmouth this season. Lawrence won its two games against Monmouth by an average of 26 points.
Lawrence returns to action on Wednesday when it hosts Ripon College.
