GALESBURG, Ill. -- Chris Page recorded his second consecutive double-double, and the Lawrence University men's basketball team rolled to a 93-67 Midwest Conference victory at Knox College on Saturday.
Page had 15 points and pulled down 12 rebounds for the Vikings (14-6, 10-3 MWC). Jayce Apelgren added 15 points and Ryan Kroeger had 13.
Adam Estergard and Matt Goedeke had 10 points apiece for Knox (2-18, 2-11).
Lawrence trailed 11-7 early, but the Vikings went on a 17-2 run to take a 24-13 lead with 10:26 left in the first half. Page had seven points in that stretch, and Jamie DeMatthew's three-point play capped the scoring outburst.
The Vikings led by as many as 14 points in the first half, but Knox kept it close into the second half. The Prairie Fire got as close as eight points at 50-42 on Goedeke's jumper with 15:02 left in the contest.
The Vikings then slowly pulled away and used a 10-3 run to take a 76-53 lead with 4:59 left. The Vikings would lead by as many as 29 points in the final minute.
Lawrence, winners of four straight, return to action next Saturday when it hosts St. Norbert College.
