Green Knights shut out Lawrence

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- B.J. O'Brien stopped all 16 Lawrence University shots on Saturday, as the No. 3 St. Norbert College hockey team beat the Vikings 4-0 in a nonconference game at the Thanksgiving Showcase.

St. Norbert (9-2-0) fired 36 shots against the Vikings, who fell to 3-7-0 on the season. Lawrence also lost to St. Norbert in the season opener.

The Green Knights got all the offense they would need when Brandon Longley scored his eighth goal of the season with 1:52 left in the opening period.

A.J. Gale made it 2-0 with 12:20 gone in the second period, and the Green Knights got third-period goals from Nick Tabisz and Alain Joanette.

Evan Johnson made 32 saves for Lawrence.

The Vikings return to Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association play next weekend when they travel to Northland College.
