MSOE pulls away from Lawrence

MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- The Milwaukee School of Engineering scored a pair of third-period goals to pull away for a 5-2 Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association victory on Saturday at the Kern Center.

After giving up a goal late in the first period, the Vikings struck back on Masa Takahashi's second goal of the season just 32 seconds into the second period.

MSOE scored the next two goals for a 3-1 heading into the final period, but Takahashi answered for Lawrence. He scored on the power play just 1:53 into the third period to cut the lead to 3-2.

The Raiders then scored two power-play goals in the final four minutes to pull away.

Chris Keller made 20 saves to get the win for MSOE. Evan Johnson made 33 saves in a losing effort for the Vikings.
