ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Lawrence University's hockey team's first visit to Adrian College was a rough one, as the Bulldogs dumped the Vikings 9-2 in a Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association game on Friday.
Adrian scored two goals in the first 4:14 and never looked back. Lawrence did trim the lead to 2-1 on Neil Wallace's goal at 8:46 of the first period, but the Bulldgos scored three more times in the first period to grab a 5-1 lead after the opening 20 minutes.
Lawrence's only other goal came on Josh Peterson's power-play goal at 14:42 of the second period.
Brad Fogal made 24 saves to get the win for Adrian. Evan Johnson played the first period and took the loss for Lawrence. Riley Stank saw his first collegiate action in net for the Vikings and made 16 saves.
