The Lawrence University Department of Athletics will hold its annual Viking Bench Golf Outing on Friday, June 13, 2008, at Eagle Creek Golf Club. The event begins at 11:30 a.m. with registration, followed by a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start. The social hour begins at 5:30 p.m., with dinner to follow.
The Reason
The support of the Lawrence community, alumni, and friends of the university are critical to the success of Viking athletics. The funds raised by the golf outing are used to support the 23 intercollegiate athletic teams sponsored by the university.
The Venue
Eagle Creek Golf Club, located near Hortonville, Wis., opened to rave reviews in 2000 and has been home to the Lawrence University golf team since 2005. Designed by Robert Lohmann, Eagle Creek is hidden in a tree-lined valley and is dominated by two creeks that run through the front nine and border the back nine. The course featuring strategic mounding, countoured fairways and greens, numerous bunkers, lakes, creeks, and wetlands. Every hole offers a truly unique challenge with five sets of tees, ranging from 5,176 to 7,243 yards. The course, which hosts the Lawrence Invitational each spring, features bentgrass greens, tees, and fairways.

Golf Package
The cost of $100 per person includes 18 holes of golf with power cart, contest holes and prizes, raffles and a silent auction, beverage tickets, and a buffet-style steak/chicken dinner.
Sponsorship Opportunities
Tee or green sponsorships are available at $150 per sign. A sponsorship of $500 includes a foursome in the golf outing and one tee or green sponsorship sign.
Donations
The Department of Athletics is seeking donations of items that can be used in the raffles or silent auction. The items do not need to be golf-related.
