OSHKOSH, Wis. -- The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh baseball team swept a nonconference doubleheader on Friday by the scores of 15-4 and 27-6 at Tiedemann Field.
In the opener, Oshkosh (7-5) scored its 15 runs on 15 hits. Kyle Kannenberg 4-for-5 to pace the Titans, and Nolan Fadness picked up three hits and drove in four runs. Doug Beattie also homered for Oshkosh.
Matt Wells pitched five innings to pick up the win. He allowed three hits, struck out three and didn't walk a batter. Sam Ausloos went four innings and took the loss.
Andy Frelich and Zach Owsley had two hits apiece to lead Lawrence (1-12) in the first game.
The Titans racked up 24 hits in the nightcap, with Fadness leading the way with four hits. Beattie had three hits, including a homer, and drove in six runs. Troy Mrkvicka belted a grand slam for the Titans.
Andy Cordier allowed three hits and picked up the win. Luke Kostreva took the loss.
Nick Pedretti went 3-for-4 to pace Lawrence's 14-hit attack, and A.J. Nathan, Michael Baldino and Phil Wisniewski had two hits apiece.
