Alumni care about Lawrence and want to give back not only through financial contributions, but also through volunteerism. It’s the job of the Alumni and Constituency Engagement (ACE) team to help alumni connect with Lawrence and its network of alumni who live around the world.
Below are some opportunities for alumni to work with the ACE team.
The Class Secretary Program
Each class has one or two members who take responsibility for communicating with their classmates annually, seeking news for their class newsletter, Voyager and Lawrence Today. The ACE Office provides support for the printing, mailing and emailing of all communications from the class secretary to his/her classmates.
LUAA Board of Directors
This is a group of alumni elected to serve one four-year term as a result of their high-level of volunteer leadership on Lawrence’s behalf. The board meets twice annually on campus to plan and review programs that involve alumni in support of the university. Board members are the leadership body of the Lawrence University Alumni Association—they represent the alumni constituency and work with the Lawrence faculty and administration to advance the mission and purposes of the university.
Reunion Committees
Volunteers from each class celebrating a reunion help ensure the class’ reunion is memorable. The committee is responsible for planning events, designing communications, networking and hospitality. Reunion committees also plan and conduct solicitation programs seeking financial support of The Lawrence Fund. Alumni in the past have commented on how much fun it was to be a part of the planning and promotion of their reunion. The committee begins to form about one year in advance of reunion.
