In the summer of 1995, I became Director of Alumni Relations following a career
which
included being a junior high communications arts teacher, community leadership program
director, free-lance facilitator, communications consultant, volunteer, and stay-at-home
mom. I have definitely learned that alumni relations draws on many of those same skills,
especially multi-tasking. My responsibilities include serving as chief liaison to the
Lawrence University Alumni Association Board of Directors, staffing reunion steering
committees for Lawrence's 40th, 50th, Golden, and cluster reunions, and all
Milwaukee-Downer Reunions, directing class secretaries, and coordinating regional alumni
events.
I graduated with an English major from Lawrence in 1974, and married Dennis Quinlan, '74 two years later. We have three sons, Danny (Colorado College, '01); Andy (Lawrence, '04); David (Lawrence, '07) and two golden retrievers, Hector and Marta. In my free time, I love to read almost anything from non-fiction to mysteries and I compete daily with Dennis to grab the newspaper crossword puzzle first. We both enjoy traveling, too. I am particularly delighted with the hundreds of new friends I've made during my past ten years working with Lawrence and Downer alumni and students.

I graduated from Lawrence in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and minors
in Math
and Religious Studies. After graduation, I spent a few years in the business world, and was
happy to return to Lawrence and join the alumni relations staff in September, 2004. In the
alumni office, my main responsibilities include working as staff advisor to the senior
class officer program, organizing the 10th and 25th reunions and Reunion Children's Programs,
planning regional events, and serving as an ex officio member of the LUAA Board of Directors
Student Relations and Nominations and Awards Committees. I also assist with other events and projects.
When I'm not at work, I enjoy running and other sports, reading, spending time outside, and exploring my creative side through playing the piano or making some sort of craft. I love to travel, and my husband James '00 and I have been fortunate enough to take at least one "big" trip each year to satisfy that travel bug. I also have a springer spaniel named Daisy who is just about as high energy as they come, but she makes a good running buddy!

I graduated from Lawrence University in 2002 with a major in Anthropology. Afterwards I spent three years in Madison working for a non-profit after school program. I supervised six teachers and 64 children a day. After a brief stint “back home” I happily joined the Alumni Relations staff in September of 2007. My responsibilities include organizing a cluster and affinity reunion each year, organizing regional events, directing the class secretary program, and serving as an ex officio member of the LUAA Board of Directors Focus on Community Engagement committee.
As some of you may know, keeping in touch with friends from Lawrence is one of my favorite things to do, so this job is a great fit for me. Family is very important to me, so I am lucky to have my brother, Josh Dukelow ’02, working along side me as a Major and Planned Gift officer. My main interests include cooking, reading, and watching sports. Being one of the assistant basketball coaches for the Lawrence women’s team also keeps me busy. I enjoy living back in Appleton and taking in any number of entertainment and cultural events.

I started my secretarial career at Lawrence in 1973! (yes . . .) I was originally the
secretary to the vice president of development before moving literally down the hall to work with Jan starting in November of 1998. I thoroughly enjoy greeting alumni either on the phone or in person. The alumni office is a fast-paced operation, and I enjoy the challenges that it brings as well as staying busy and on task. One of the programs that is very time consuming but interesting is the Class Secretary Program. I enjoy producing all the newsletters and reading what each of you has done since leaving Lawrence. I also enjoy getting to know and working with all the various members of the LUAA Board.
In my spare time I enjoy going for walks, golfing, working out, swimming, reading, listening to music and taking in movies, "hanging out" with all our friends, cooking, dining out, traveling, and going for cruises in our '96 red Corvette convertible.

I’m currently a senior linguistics and French double major at LU. I’m originally from the Fox Valley, and four of my five siblings have also attended LU (Jami ’95, Josh ’97, Jacob ’01, and Jordan ’11). I started working with the Alumni Relations staff two years ago as a student worker for Reunion Weekend. For last year’s reunion, I was in charge of scheduling and supervising the 68 other student workers. This year, as the inaugural student intern, I’m responsible for the alumni website, some other design and layout projects (e.g., Lawrence e-News for alumni, Then & Now / Ariel Reprise books for Reunion), and the student staff for Reunion.
In addition to working in Alumni Relations, I also work in Admissions as a supervisor for the Student Calling Team and have been a co-head tutor of the Oral Communication and ESL tutoring program in campus’ Center for Teaching and Learning. In my free time, I’ve been a part of Ariel (yearbook), French Club, GLOW, Linguistics Tea, Lawrence University Vegans & Vegetarians, and the Senior Class Programming Committee. I also enjoy collecting rare CD singles and dance remixes, traveling (I got to study abroad in France last year!), line dancing with Lyndsay and Jessa, and hanging out with friends.
